Dates and time zones

All dates are UTC days. How date ranges, weeks, and months work, and the 90-day limit.

All dates and times are in UTC

Dates are UTC days in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Timestamps are in UTC, in the RFC 3339 format with a Z at the end: 2026-10-07T04:12:55Z. The app groups answers by UTC day too, so a chart you build from the API matches the dashboard.

Date ranges

start_date and end_date both include their own day. If you send neither, a request covers the last 30 days: end_date is today, and start_date is 29 days before it.

?start_date=2026-09-01&end_date=2026-09-30

This range is the whole of September: 30 days.

A range can be at most 90 days

The range from start_date to end_date can be at most 90 days long. start_date can be any day in the past: only the length of the range is limited. A longer range gets status 400 with the error code date_range_invalid.

For a longer period, make 1 request for each 90 days and put the results together. You can add up the counts from the requests, but not the rates. Calculate rates again from the added counts, for example visibility = sum(mentions) / sum(answers).

Days, weeks, and months

  • day: the UTC day, for example "2026-09-14".
  • week: the ISO week, from Monday to Sunday. The row shows the date of its Monday, for example "2026-09-14".
  • month: the calendar month. The row shows the date of its 1st day, for example "2026-09-01".

A week or month at the start or end of the range counts only the days inside the range. For example, if start_date is a Wednesday, the 1st week row counts Wednesday to Sunday, and it still shows the date of that week's Monday.

Today

Today's numbers are not complete until the day's questions have all been answered. See Data freshness.
